The best toys a child can use are those he makes with his own hands. The toys so freely used today supplant the desire to create with the desire to buy. Children easily learn covetousness by seeing toy windows, toy shops and the toys of their playmates. Toys are painted in bright colors to catch the eyes of children. Toys are made to be active to attract the attention of children. Every means of salesmanship is employed to sell toys. Every advantage is taken of child psychology in the efforts to load the child’s arms with worthless toys–toys that last but a day and are forgotten.

Many factors in modern child life are unnatural and detrimental to child development. We do too much for the children. We teach them depenence. They should learn independence. They should be self-reliant. They should be permitted to depend on their own ingenuity. Let them build and create for themselves.

Young ducks raised on hard floors, and never allowed in the water, never learn to swim. Their instinct for swimming is suppressed and, finally, lost altogether. Young children reared in city apartments never learn to create. Their creative instincts are suppresed. They need more of nature and less of books–more opportunity to create and less toys.

Some children do not seem to be able to focus on anything for very long. How can we help those children to become self-engaging and not so dependent on being entertained?

Although your children need your attention and love, they do not need you to supply a lot of activities. When not dependent on external stimulation, even a toddler can be engaged with nothing but a thread in her hands for a long time. Children are often busy for hours playing outside with no toys, acting self-made dramas, building mud castles, watching ants and more. Truly they are masterful at focusing on whatever they freely choose.

Long attention span is the child’s nature, A child who expects life to revolve around her, tends to become demanding and in turn unable to do without constant attention.Toys that take the initiative out of the child’s hands.Even educational toys often fly in the face of education and of self-reliance.

Puzzles, Building Blocks are creative items that can keep a child busy for a long period & can make child happy on his creativity, the items he/she builds out of those blocks or solved puzzles boosts up his/her confidence.

At Savvy Toys we offer a wide range of Building Blocks or Puzzles that helps your children to grow confidentally & improves his/her concentration & patience.

Why Infants Require Educational Ba Toys

When a baby comes into the world it cannot actually do much. A baby cannot lift its hand to touch its nose, a baby cannot focus on little objects. As the infant develops in the initial year it will require distinct kinds of toys to stimulate and encourage the development of several skills.

The great thing is that most baby toys on the market are in and of themselves educational toys. Toys to teach things like sound, vision, auditory and physical sensations. These toys work to construct on the baby’s really little collection of references and contexts.

Sight

To begin with, a baby’s initial skill would be sight. A baby does not see the world as we do, they are still developing their ocular muscles and their brain has got no points of reference or ways to understand what they are seeing.

There is debate as to what a baby can see, some experts mention they can only see black and white, and some say they can see bold primary colours as well. Either way, a good place to start is books with large bold lines with heavy contrast and large on colour. Fine lines, water colours and muddy images will probably be of no assist to a baby, they require easy images that are straightforward to focus on.

As they move closer to turning one, they will become fascinated with mirrors and will a lot more effortlessly be able to make use of board books with bright colours.

Toys with strong colours will appeal as will mobiles and wall stickers.

Sound

A baby can hear most sounds, in fact they can probably hear a lot more than most adults due to the fact over time we lose the ability to hear certain frequencies. So babies are usually frightened by loud noises and delighted by unusual noises in toys. Rattles containing a little bell are excellent for baby. Telling stories and singing to baby is a wonderful way to engage them. You will find some excellent toys obtainable that supply a whole selection of noises for baby to experiment with like crinkly, clicking, tinkling and swishing.

Introducing music to babies is also a wonderful way to introduce them to the beauty of sound. Classical music and nursery rhymes on CD will probably be handy at bedtime while sing-a-long CDs are a excellent alternative to TV.

As baby gets a little older, you will find some wonderful musical instruments you are able to introduce like drums, shakers, tambourines and xylophones.

Touch

A baby is learning that his fingers are ways to assess the world. Things are hot, cold or soft and rough. You will find several toys obtainable that will introduce your baby to the world textures.

As baby gets older you are able to construct on your toy collection by having a range of toys that feel distinct. Some might be tough like wooden blocks or smooth plastic like shapes and moulded toys, some might be spongy and soft others will probably be fluffy like stuffed toys.

Babies are usually fascinated with easy items from around the house such a foil packaging, wooden spoons and any other thing within their grasp.

Tummy Time

You will find several baby learning toys obtainable these days that combine all of these elements into one handy item. Play mats are excellent for babies to practice tummy time, a really valuable skill they should develop. Play mats will have texture pads, bells, mirrors, squeaky toys and so much a lot more.

Whatever toys you chose for your infant, once you are satisfied of it’s safety, will no doubt supply your baby with several hours of educational entertainment.

Toys that could be Dangerous for Pomeranians

Article by Camille Goldin

Pomeranians are a little different than your regular dogs. They are very curious by nature and because of their small stature; it is easy for them to disappear from time to time. In the moments that you lose sight of them, disaster can strike. As with any dog, you will need to “puppy proof” your home and this includes making careful choices in your toy selection.

Small objects are concerning for Pomeranians as well as any other dogs. Toys that have protrusions are also a bad choice as Pomeranians like to gnaw on things and can easily chew off a section and choke to death. Adversely, if they do manage to swallow pieces like that, Pomeranians and other dogs for that matter may face getting obstructed. Serious obstructions that don’t pass can only be dealt with surgically.

A small dog crate can be your best friend when it comes to a Pomeranians safety. Whenever you are not around to watch what your mischievous little pooch is up to, you can keep them in the crate. Crate training is therefore very important. You don’t want your Pomeranian to freak out in the crate and drive everyone nuts with their high pitched barking. Gradually leave your Pomeranian in the crate for longer and longer periods of time while you are home. When they are calm, let them out and reward them. Then put them back in and repeat the process until they are quiet for longer stretches.

Another consideration is traveling. You want to entertain your dogs while in the car, but you won’t be able to watch them. If you have never heard of a Kong toy, now is the time to go out and get one. A Kong toy is a hollow rubber bulbous object that you can put treats in. There are many dog treat choices; bone shaped biscuits, soft chews, little nuggets, etc.; you can even smear some peanut butter inside. Pomeranians and dogs of all kinds love Kong toys. Here are some examples of other toys that shouldn’t be given to your Pomeranian and some that are okay.

Good ToysPlush or furry toys without the stuffingBallsRope toysTug-o-War toysCloth Frisbees

Another thing to consider is toys that you can let Pomeranians or dogs of any kind have with supervision. Squeaky toys fall into this category. The squeaker can become dislodged from any toy during the course of play and become a choking hazard. When you are actively playing with your Pomeranian or dog of any kind, technically you can let them play with anything. When you spend one-on-one quality time with Pomeranians that is when you spoil them.

Of course, there is also the act of puppy proofing the house itself. Pomeranians are small and adventuresome and they can fit in a number of tight spaces; spaces where electrical cords lie. Hopefully your Pomeranian doesn’t figure out how to open cabinets and chew on household cleaning products. Although it may seem cute to give dogs old socks to chew on, this can trigger bad behavior and you may find that your nice socks wind up missing and perhaps other articles of clothing.

These are some things and suggestions to keep in mind when you are indulging your favorite four legged friend. Your Pomeranian can play and be safe at the same time.

Do your Dog Toys Match your Dog’s Personality?

Article by Chris Jenkinson

Dogs love dog toys, it’s a simple fact that most dog owners are already well aware of. What is less obvious, however is that dogs actually need toys. Toys provide an outlet for mental and physical energy that the dog will be unleashing one way or another anyway.Toys provide a wonderful distraction from the stress of being home alone for a long stretch of time, reducing the possibility of less welcome habits. Most dogs are prone to chewing, with the addition of toys an owner can control just what the dog chews. Also, toys make a great reward for good behaviour, especially if you are reluctant to do so with food. Here’s the tricky bit; with all the makes, models, and brands out there how can you choose the right toy for your dog? The first thing you need to remember is that the toy is for your dog, not for you. A lot of owners forget this when buying toys and completely forget their dog’s wants and needs. Just because it’s cute does not make it right for your dog. Small parts that rip off, dangle or come apart easily (like glue-on eyes) are hazardous, as a dog can choke on or have gastrointestinal trouble from them.

Instead, consider the personality of your dog before buying dog toys and make “cute” a secondary priority. How does one consider the dog’s personality when toy shopping? The answer is simple, look at your dog’s behaviour.

Problem SolversIs there no back yard gate that your dog can’t get past? Does he spend hours with his nose in that gap between the fridge and the counter trying to get the dog food that spilled back there? Congratulations, your dog is a problem solver. For dogs like this there are a variety of hard rubber toys with holes in them that you can hide a treat in. The dog will have hours of fun figuring out how to get the tasty tidbit out.

NurturingOr maybe your dog has a more gentle soul. Does she lovingly carry about laundry and plush toys for long stretches of time? Does she enjoy snuggling and cuddling? Maybe a plush dog toy is right for her.ChewersOr maybe your four footed friend likes to chew. You already know full well if this is the case or not. The best thing for dogs in this category there is little better than hard rubber chew toys or bones to while away the hours and get gnawing out of their system. With some simple observation and thought you can find a plethora of dog toys that will make both you and your pooch very happy.
